Trading status


Indicates the trading status of the instrument.

Value Meaning MIT Session
2 Halt Halt Session: The Exchange may manually impose trading halts. In such a scenario, the Exchange will manually move the instrument to a Resume Auction Call session upon lifting the trading halt. Execution of orders/quotes will not be carried out. The order/quote entry is not permitted. Cancellation of orders in the order book is permitted but they cannot be amended. Upon reaching the expiry time, GTT orders will be expired. If a scheduled auction call session/auction was triggered during this session, those scheduled events will not be carried out. Halt session will not be carried forward for the next day. The Exchange can manually move a group of instruments in to the required session at the end of a Trading Halt.
17 Regular Trading/Start Trade Reporting Start of Trading Session: This session will typically be the first session of an instrument which will last till the opening Auction Call session The GTC/GTD orders, carried forward from the previous day, will only be there in the order book. The trading parties cannot enter/cancel/amend any orders/quotes. Only the Exchange may amend or cancel orders in the order book. Execution of orders/quotes will not be carried out.

21 Opening Auction Call Opening Auction Call Session: Execution of orders/quotes will not be carried out. Each valid new order/quote will be added to the order book. Orders and quotes may be cancelled or amended. GTT orders which has an expiry time falls into this session will not be expired. Opening Auction Call session will be followed by a series of Market Order and Price Monitoring Extensions. The behaviour of the Market Order and Price Monitoring Extensions is same as Opening Call session.
26 Post-Close Post Close Session: Execution of orders/quotes will not be carried out. New orders/quotes cannot be submitted during this session. Participants and the Exchange can cancel orders and electronic quotes during this session. Only the Exchange can amend orders during this session. Upon reaching the expiry time, GTT orders will be expired
101 Suspended

Suspended: Any cessation of trading imposed by the Exchange, including a trading halt.

102 Closing Auction Call Closing Auction Call Session: Execution of orders/quotes will not be carried out.
Each valid new order/quote will be added to the order book. Orders and quotes may be cancelled or amended.
GTT orders which has an expiry time falls into this session will not be expired.
Orders, with the time in force ATC/GFA and are already parked, will be injected into the order book.
All the Pegged Orders will be expired at the beginning of this session. Closing Auction Call session may be followed by a series of Market Order and Price Monitoring Extensions. The behaviour of the Market Order and Price Monitoring Extensions is same as Closing Auction Call session.
103 End of post-close End of Post-Close: Orderbook closed.
End of day for orderbook trading.
104 AESP Auction Call AESP Auction Call Session: Execution of orders/quotes will not be carried out. Each valid new order/quote will be added to the order book. Orders and quotes may be cancelled or amended. GTT orders which has an expiry time falls into this session will not be expired. Orders, with the time in force GFA and are already parked, will be injected into the order book. The behaviour of the Market Order and Price Monitoring Extensions is same as AESP Auction Call session.
105 Resume Auction Call Resume Auction Call Session: The Exchange may manually trigger the Resume Auction Call session when they are lifting a manual trading halt or a trading pause. Execution of orders/quotes will not be carried out. The order/quote entry is permitted. Cancellation/amendment of orders in the order book is permitted. GTT orders which has an expiry time falls into this session will not be expired. Unelected Stop and Stop Limit Orders can be amended. Orders, with the time in force GFA and are already parked, will be injected into the order book at the beginning of this session. At the end of the Resume Auction Call session, the Resume Auction will happen. Resume Auction Call session may be followed by a series of Market Order and Price Monitoring Extensions. The behaviour of the Market Order and Price Monitoring Extensions is same as Resume Auction Call session. If a scheduled auction call session/auction was triggered during this session or during any of the following extensions, those scheduled events will be carried out.
111 Pause Pause Session: The Exchange may manually trigger the pause session. Execution of orders/quotes will not be carried out. The order/quote entry is permitted. Cancellation/amendment of orders in the order book is permitted. GTT orders which have an expiry time falls into this session will be expired. Unelected Stop and Stop Limit Orders can be amended. At the end of the Pause session (upon lifting the trading pause), the Exchange will manually move the instrument to a Resume Auction Call session. If a scheduled auction call session/auction was triggered during this session, those scheduled events will not be carried out. Pause session will not be carried forward for the next day. The Exchange can manually move a group of instruments in to the required session at the end of a Trading Pause.
112 Pre-Mandatory Pre-Mandatory: Trading Parties can enter and cancel Firm Quotes during all these sessions
Quote book sessions are only applicable to the Firm Quotes

117 Periodic Auction Call Periodic Auction Call Session: Execution of orders/quotes will not be carried out.
Each valid new order/quote will be added to the order book. Orders and quotes may be cancelled or amended.
GTT orders which has an expiry time falls into this session will not be expired. Orders, with the time in force GFA and are already parked, will be injected into the order book. Periodic Auction Call session will be followed by a series of Market Order and Price Monitoring Extensions.
The behaviour of the Market Order and Price Monitoring Extensions is same as Periodic Auction Call session.
119 End Trade Reporting End Trade Reporting: 17.15 – End of Manual Trade Reporting
120 Closing price crossing Closing Price Crossing: Phase immediately following the Closing Price Publication phase.
Trades may be executed, but only at the closing auction price.
Note: This phase will be omitted if the closing auction did not result in an uncrossing trade.

125 Closing price publication Closing Price Publication: Phase immediately following the closing auction, during which the closing price will be disseminated.
Orderbook access is permitted, but any changes will not take effect until the start of the next trading phase (Closing Price Crossing / Post-Close).
199 No Active Session

Continuous Trading Session Continuous Trading Session: Incoming orders/quotes will be continuously executed against those in the order book (please refer Volume 6 – Order Book Priority and Executions for further information). If there is a remainder, it will be either added to the order book or expired. Orders and quotes may be cancelled or amended. GTT orders will expire upon reaching their expiry time.
Early EDSP Auction Call Session Early EDSP Auction Call Session: This session is used as an implementation level session to provide the functionality of moving an instrument directly to the EDSP Auction Call session rather than the AESP Auction Call session if a circuit breaker is fired within X seconds prior to the scheduled EDSP Auction Call session. If a circuit breaker is fired when the instrument is in the Early EDSP Auction Call session (the fact that the instrument will be in this session will not be disseminated via market data), then it will move to the EDSP Auction Call session rather than to the AESP Auction Call session.
Early Closing Auction Call Session Early Closing Auction Call Session:This session is used as an implementation level session to provide the functionality of moving an instrument directly to the Closing Auction Call session rather than the AESP Auction Call session if a circuit breaker is fired within X seconds prior to the scheduled Closing Auction Call session. If a circuit breaker is fired when the instrument is in the Early Closing Auction Call session (the fact that the instrument will be in this session will not be disseminated via market data), then it will move to the Closing Auction Call session rather than to the AESP Auction Call session.
