SEDOL Masterfile Technical Workshop

 

On Tuesday 12 May the London Stock Exchange hosted the first SEDOL Masterfile Technical Workshop.  The slides and subsequent feedback from the workshop can be downloaded from this section.

 

In summary, the workshop highlighted that within each organisation the effort of implementing the proposals impacted in different ways the various departments through front, middle and back office. Therefore it is proposed that the next steps to progress the consultation will be to visit a variety of firms to understand how SEDOL codes are used in the trade lifecycle throughout the entire organisation. We will therefore be approacing organisations who at the event expressed an interest in participating further. If you did not attend and would be interested in participating, please forward your details to sedol@londonstockexchange.com.

 

At the event we also received feedback that our presentations on ISO standards and the SEDOL roadmap, as well as the time spent networking with peers from the Exchange and other organisations, was beneficial in gaining a greater understanding of our SEDOL Masterfile's policy and methodology.
