With effect from the close of business Friday 9 October 2009, Newedge Group ("Newedge" or "the firm") will no longer act as a General Clearing Member for UK Central Counterparty securities.
With effect from the start of business on 12 October 2009, Newedge will commence using BNP Paribas Securities Services ("BNP") as its settlement agent using the CREST Code shown below in bold. Any outstanding positions as at close of business on Friday 9 October 2009 will continue to settle through CREST code 248.
Newedge acts in a principal and agency capacity in UK domestic and international securities with access to SETS and the International Order Book ("IOB").
The firm will continue to act as a settlement agent.
