With effect from the start of business on Wednesday 1 December 2004, Goldman Sachs International ("Goldman Sachs") will commence trading as an index-linked gilt-edged market maker ("IG GEMM"). Goldman Sachs will use its existing gilt-edged market maker (GEMM) codes for this business as highlighted in bold below.
The firm continues to act in a principal and agency capacity in UK domestic and international securities. Goldman Sachs remains a market maker in UK domestic and international securities, gilt-edged securities and continues to act as a committed principal for covered warrants. The firm has access to SETS, SETSmm, DTS and the International Order Book ("IOB").
Goldman Sachs acts as a General Clearing Member ("GCM") in relation to UK central counterparty securities and provides Model A settlement services.
The firm continues to act as a DTS GCM and provide services to Non Clearing Members for DTS central counterparty securities.
Goldman Sachs will settle its DTS business through Euroclear NL account number 550.
