With effect from Friday 12 January 2001, Goldman Sachs Equity Securities (UK) ("GSES") will transfer all its business to Goldman Sachs International ("GSI").
GSI currently acts as a gilt-edged market maker (GEMM) and its codes will remain unchanged for this business. From Friday 12 January 2001, GSI will also act as a market maker in UK domestic and international securities, deal in convertibles, depositary receipts, warrants and have access to the electronic order book. For this business, GSI will take on responsibility for the trading and settlement codes currently used by GSES, which are listed below.
All transactions entered into GSES, prior to Friday 12 January will continue to be settled by GSES up until the close of business on Thursday 17 January. Please note, however, that if any transactions entered into by GSES have still not been settled by close of business on Thursday 17 January 2001, the responsibility for settlement will be transferred to GSI, although still through CREST participant code 303.
