                      FINSBURY GROWTH & INCOME TRUST PLC                       

                            First Interim Dividend                             

The Board has declared a first interim dividend of 4.8p per share (first
interim dividend 2012: 4.6p per share) in respect of the year ending 30
September 2013. Such dividend will be paid on 2 May 2013 to shareholders on the
register on 5 April 2013. The associated ex-dividend date is 3 April 2013.
