TREASURY SHARES - TRANSFERS
In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4, Anglo American plc announces that a total of 17,385 ordinary shares were transferred from treasury shares on 10 January 2013 in respect of the Company's share plans.
Following the transfers, Anglo American plc has a total of 14,480,268 ordinary shares held in treasury and a total of 1,390,982,178 ordinary shares in issue, excluding treasury shares.
