GKN Confirms Anne Stevens Appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer

[ 03 Jan 2018 16:48 ]

LONDON (Alliance News) - Engineering firm GKN PLC confirmed Wednesday Anne Stevens assumed the role of interim chief executive officer on Monday after the former incumbent retired on Sunday.

Former boss Nigel Stein retired at the end of 2017 when he also resigned from the board. Originally Stein was to be replaced by the CEO of its Aerospace division, Kevin Cummings, as announced in September. However, in a board shake-up in November, Cummings left the company.

Prior to her appointment as interim CEO, Stevens served as independent non-executive at the FTSE 100-listed company since 2016. She is a former chairman, CEO and president of Carpenter Technology Corp.

Shares in GKN closed up 0.1% at 318.30 pence on Wednesday.
