Release 3.0 - new and enhanced services:
Exchange Traded CFDs
We will be bringing CFDs onto SETS creating the world’s first combined equity/CFD order book. This exciting new development will allow customers to match CFD and equity orders against one another in real-time. By doing this we aim to boost overall levels of trading and further improve the quality and efficiency of the order book, benefiting all market participants.
Two seminars have been held (30 January and 4 February) to inform the market regarding this service.

Netting
Our Netting service will enable firms to net same day, same-security trades at Exchange level - potentially saving the market as a whole as much as 35% of their post-trade costs and, some high-volume customers, as much as 50%.

IOB Clearing
The introduction of a Central Counterparty (CCP) service for the International Order Book (IOB) will bring it in line with SETS and is designed to help firms to mitigate counter-party risk, attract new IOB participants and improve liquidity and lower operational costs.

Migration of Italian equities to TradElect
In late 2008 we will be integrating the Italian, UK and international equities markets on TradElect, creating the largest European liquidity pool and generating new trading opportunities for Borsa Italiana and London Stock Exchange customers. More information about the integration.
