From 29 October 2007 market maker support for many of the securities traded on the International Retail Service (IRS) will be found on our new MiFID offering EQS.
Market makers may still register in IRS securities and should do so in the normal way by completing a RIF. Any such registrations can be effective from 5 November 2007. Until further IRS market maker registrations are received there will be no prices available on IRS from 29 October 2007.
The securities currently traded on IRS will be affected in the following ways:
-
Secondary London listed securities will be avilable on the International Bulletin Board (ITBB) or in some cases SETS.
-
EU Regulated Market (EURM) securities that are not London listed but are "liquid" under MiFID will be available on the Exchange’s European Quoting Service (EQS) where they will trade in the home market currency.
-
“Non-liquid’ EURM securities that are not London listed can be trade reported in the home currency on the Exchange’s European Trade Reporting service
