As well as delivering the means to trade on our markets, the Exchange can also provide member firms with a connection to CREST, the settlement system for UK and Irish equities and other instruments.
Euroclear has announced that it is replacing the current accredited network service with the Euroclear Common Communications Interface (CCI). The Exchange has decided not to develop a service for this and, due to declining customer demand and investment requirements for the existing service, it will close its network service by 31st December 2008.
We are extremely grateful to all of our customers for their support of the service since it was introduced in 2002. The Exchange is committed to work with customers, Euroclear and the alternative providers of network services to assist an efficient transfer of existing customers to an alternative network provider.
