Jordan Capital Market Day - 28 March 2008

The Jordan Securities Commission (JSC), Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) and Securities Depository Centre - in cooperation with London Stock Exchange - held a Jordan Capital Markets Day in London on March 28^th 2008.

The Capital Markets Day provided an overview of investment opportunities in Jordan, as well as details of the current privatization programme. The event also provided British and international investors with the opportunity to meet with ten leading Jordanian companies.

Dr. Bassam Saket, Executive Chairman of the Jordan Securities Commission said:

"This day was a great opportunity for companies to raise funds and attract foreign investments. Meeting investors in London is crucial for companies that wish to raise their international profile because of London's status as one of the world's leading financial centres in the world."
