The Creation Rules Matrix has been designed for customers using the SEDOL Masterfile™ system, to assist in the security creation process. It highlights the fields that need to be populated in order to set up a security.

In order to avoid duplicates being created, please ensure that you have first searched the SEDOL database prior to creating a new SEDOL . If you are uncertain how to search for a security, please refer to the “SEDOL Masterfile Guide Part 2 – SEDOL Search and Create” which is located in SEDOL Masterfile documentation.

By selecting the security group, and the security type for the security being created from the drop down lists below, the required (in red) and preferred data fields within SEDOL Masterfile™ will be displayed. The completed matrix should be used as a reference tool when setting up ‘live’ SEDOL data.The final row of the Creation Rules Matrix is an example of the selected security type, and illustrates how the security should be formatted within SEDOL Masterfile™.
