Jersey, Guernsey & Isle of Man - Country Code Reclassification

30th November 2007

Channel Islands
Stock Exchange Country Reclassification

Further to the introduction of a separate country code for the Channel Islands, the country classification of the Channel Islands Stock Exchange is now Guernsey (GG), where previously it was Great Britain (GB).

Historically, securities trading on UK platforms and the Channel Islands Stock Exchange shared the same SEDOL code. However, due to the revised country classifications, UK and Channel Islands are no longer considered to be the same country, and as such will receive separate SEDOL codes.

Attached is a list of all existing securities on SEDOL Masterfile affected by these changes. A new SEDOL will be allocated for the Channel Islands Stock Exchange listing for these securities, and the existing SEDOLs will remain as the GB code.

These changes will be implemented on Friday, 7th December 2007.

September 2006

Jersey
, Guernsey & Isle of Man - ISIN allocation

Recent changes to ISO 3166 Country Codes elevating the crown dependencies of Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man to the main country code list will have an impact on the allocation of GB ISIN codes.

Currently securities falling under these areas would have an ISIN allocated that begins with GB, however, from the 4th September 2006 new securities that fall under the new country codes, according to ISIN rules, will be allocated an ISIN beginning with either JE for Jersey, GG for Guernsey or IM for Isle of Man.

Existing securities with GB ISINs for Jersey, Guernsey or Isle of Man will remain unchanged.
