Patrick Morton
Patrick Morton is Head of International Consultancy Services at the London Stock Exchange and is responsible for providing project based assistance and consultancy services on primary capital market issues. He is a Chartered Accountant and has been with the Exchange for 20 years, having spent much of this time with the Listing Department (now the UK Listing Authority and part of the Financial Services Authority), where he was responsible for all matters concerning listing policy, including maintaining the rules for listed companies.
Patrick has been closely involved with the development of the Exchange’s second markets and has delivered many training courses to listed companies and overseas regulators and exchanges. He has also represented the Exchange at many national and international events relating to matters of policy and regulation and has assisted in the development of international disclosure standards and the rules for listed companies in other overseas markets.
Alan Wilson
Alan Wilson is Head of Training at the London Stock Exchange and is responsible for providing training and consultancy services on secondary capital market issues and is the Exchange’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer. Alan graduated in Social Sciences from London University in 1976.
Following periods in the investigation areas of the DTI and the Bank of England, Alan joined the Exchange at the beginning of 1986, where he worked in the department that was responsible for the detection and investigation of insider dealing, market manipulation and other types of market abuse. Alan played a large part in the design and implementation of IMAS, the Exchange’s key market surveillance system. He regularly contributes to training courses for lawyers, regulators and those investigating fraud, money laundering and other types of financial crime. Clients have included Police Forces, HM Customs & Excise and overseas law enforcement agencies.
