Recent projects
Project 1
This project was to undertake a feasibility study report on whether to establish a second market in Mauritius. This report included the following:
- a cost/benefit analysis of establishing a second market
- advice on an appropriate business, regulatory and operational structure.
A strategy and action plan was then drawn up to establish the market. Rules for the admission and continuing disclosure obligations of companies coming to and quoted on the market were also prepared.
Project 2
Assistance was provided to a European stock exchange to relaunch its second market as an exchange regulated market, with rules, procedures and processes that were significantly different to their main market. This involved:
- drafting an initial report for the Board
- undertaking a comparative study of other countries’ second markets
- reviewing the draft rules.
