The table shows, alphabetically, which 15 member firms are the most active within a particular FTSE Index over a given period. Activity is measured by the number of agency trades* a firm reports to The London Stock Exchange over a quarter. These trades are then broken down according to a particular FTSE index. A 'Y' indicates that a broker meets the volume criteria for a particular index.
It is important to note that it is only the trades actually reported to The London Stock Exchange which are subject to and therefore protected by its rules and regulations.
