Appointed Chief Executive in January 2001. Group Chief Executive of Credit Lyonnais Rouse from 1998 to 2000. At Phillips & Drew/UBS from 1983 to 1998; became a Director in 1988, Executive Director in 1992, Managing Director in 1995 and Global Head of Futures in 1996. Director of LIFFE from 1991 to 1999; Deputy Chairman from 1997 to 1999. She is a Non-Executive Director of Fortis, Euroclear plc and LCH. Clearnet and a member of the Shanghai International Financial Advisory Council. 

Massimo Capuano

Deputy Chief Executive

 
President & CEO Borsa Italiana S.p.A.. Member of the Supervisory Board of MTS and Vice Chairman of CC&G and Monte Titoli. In addition, Massimo Capuano is Chairman of the World Federation of Exchanges for the year 2007-2008 and an Adviser of the Board of the Federation of European Securities Exchanges (for the year 2007-2008). He is also a member of the International Advisory Committee of Cairo Alessandria Stock Exchange from September 2006. 

Doug Webb

Chief Financial Officer

 
Appointed to the Board in June 2008. At QinetiQ Group plc from 2003 to 2008, became its Chief Financial Officer in 2005. Previously Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, North America and then Finance Director, Continental Europe at Logica plc from 1994 to 2003 and at Price Waterhouse from 1982 to 1994, latterly as a Senior Manager in Audit and Business Advisory Services.

Martin Graham

Director of Markets

 

Martin Graham joined the London Stock Exchange in May 2003 as Director of Markets, managing all the market facing functions within the Exchange, including the development of all domestic and international markets business. In January 2008, following the merger with Borsa Italiana, Martin was appointed head of the combined Groups’ equity business. Martin has direct responsibility for all the Group’s equity client relationships, market operations and regulation, product management and development, equity markets strategy, AIM and RNS, the Exchange’s regulatory news service. Martin is an Executive Director of Borsa Italiana Spa and a Non-Executive Director of the UK India Business Council.


Prior to joining the Exchange, Martin developed extensive industry experience in senior management positions at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and West LB Panmure. Martin graduated from the London School of Economics.

David Lester

Chief Information Officer

 
David Lester is responsible for the Information and Technology Services division at the London Stock Exchange. David led the implementation of the Exchange’s 4-year Technology Roadmap, TradElect, a complete refresh of the Exchange’s technology to next generation systems. He is also implementing the Exchange’s Information Services diversification strategy, which is designed to broaden the range of information products and services available to the Exchange’s customers and increase its revenues. David is an Executive Director of Borsa Italiana Spa, Executive Chairman of Proquote Ltd. and Deputy Chairman of FTSE International Ltd.

Before joining the Exchange in 2001, David worked for Thomson Financial and Accenture.
