We welcome Cardpoint plc onto our AIM market. Cardpoint owns and operates 188 independent automated teller machines (ATM), commonly known as cash machines, in the UK.

Formed in 2001, when the two companies Cash Card and Direct Cash merged, Cardpoint supplies cash machines free of charge to various retailers - including motorway service areas, petrol stations, pubs, hospitals, hotels and large retail and leisure outlets - who are then able to offer customers an additional service and potentially attract more business.

Each cash withdrawal generates a gross fee for Cardpoint of typically 1.50 and 19.4p is generated per transaction if a balance enquiry is made or a transaction is denied by the card issuer.

The Group plans the roll out of over 250 additional ATMs over the next 18 months.
