Hampshire-based Genetix is a pioneer in the development of automated systems used in gene discovery. The company was founded in 1991 and now reports excellent growth and turnover profits, and a loyal client base of over 150 international leaders in genomics and research institutes including Glaxo Wellcome plc, Astrazeneca International and Novartis.
Genetix intends to use the proceeds of its flotation to extend sales and marketing infrastructure and increase expenditure on research and development. The company also intends to use part of the proceeds to acquire complementary products and to expand the Genetix group.
