EDX Roadmap

Welcome to the EDX 2009 Roadmap section

This section has been developed to provide you with up-to-date information surrounding the Roadmap project, including key dates you need to be aware of as well as technical and service information.

The London Stock Exchange Group is following a new derivatives strategy, this starts with EDX London introducing an enhanced global derivatives marketplace in November 2009.

To be able to better serve our customers we recognise that we must offer the best trading platform driven by next generation trading technology, which allows us to provide innovative products and services for the benefit of all market participants.

We are switching to SOLA® trading technology in November 2009. SOLA is a leading derivatives technology platform developed by the TMX Group. It is currently used to trade Canadian derivatives at Montreal Exchange and US equity options at Boston Options Exchange.

Adopting SOLA allows us to provide a better derivatives marketplace with greater scalability, lower latency, more product choice and new trading opportunities.

We are continuing to partner with Oslo Børs, using SOLA, to provide members with linked trading and clearing across a comprehensive range of Nordic and Russian derivatives products, similar to what we offer today.
