Bateman is the only Dutch company currently on AIM, and is a leading process engineering, contracting and project management company that is active globally in the supply of services to key minerals resources markets. The company designs, procures and project-manages the building of plants, often adjacent to mines, which process the bulk material excavated from the ground, to yield pure metals, minerals or other marketable products. Its clients include many of the world’s largest mineral resources companies such as De Beers, Anglo American, Rio Tinto, Xstrata and BHP Billiton.  Bateman has completed 1000 contracts in 50 countries since 1980.

Bateman employs approximately 800 people and has offices in Africa, Europe, the CIS, Australasia and Canada. The IPO values Bateman at approximately US$125 million.

Dr Sivi Gounden, Bateman’s CEO said:

“We are delighted to be joining the AIM market.  The IPO will provide us with new capital that will enable us to continue our strong growth by providing the means to consider strategic acquisitions; identify, source, licence or acquire new technologies; and strengthen our balance sheet”
