Welcome stories

Olympic Gold medallist, Matthew Pinsent, first sportsperson to open the London markets

On a day when the country is celebrating the achievements of its Olympic medallists, we’re delighted to welcome someone of Matthew Pinsent’s stature to open our market.   We would like to think that the British Olympic Association’s motto, “citius, altius, fortius” (faster, higher, stronger), has an application beyond its membership.   After all, in running London’s equity markets, we aim to help ambitious companies to fulfil their own business potential

Matthew Pinsent needs no introduction, as by winning Olympic Gold in the coxless four rowing at Athens this past summer, he has joined an elite group of only four other athletes to win 4 consecutive Olympic Gold medals.
