Overview:

Our PLC Forums provide a good opportunity for Directors and Senior Managers from Main Market and AIM companies to meet, be updated on and discuss corporate-related issues and best-practices with other quoted companies and the hosts.

This meeting will focus on the areas of current equity and debt financing trends and specifically on current developments within the debt markets including the availability of debt for corporates and alternative liquidity options for companies. We are particularly delighted to welcome David Brocksom, Finance Director of UK Coal plc, who will provide us with his own unique insights into the difficulties of financing a company during the last 12 months.

Speaker Profiles:

David Brockson, Finance Director, UK Coal plc

David Brocksom was appointed Finance Director in September 2007. He was previously Finance Director of Pace Micro Technology plc and Avesco plc and has worked in a number of UK listed companies, for over 12 years as a Board member. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse having read Law at Cambridge University.

Sarah Taylor, Director, PwC

Sarah Taylor is a Director in the Corporate Finance team where she has worked for over 12 years, recently relocating to Yorkshire. Sarah has extensive experience of providing advice on all aspects of corporate finance, including mergers and acquisitions, equity fund raising and debt advisory. Sarah has worked a range of transactions across a variety of sectors, including cross border deals.

Jason Green, Partner, PwC

Jason is a senior finance professional with 15 years professional experience, comprising the last 8 years in debt advisory, 5 years in project finance lending and 2 years in investment appraisal in a corporate environment. He has broadly-based experience across a range of industry sectors and in numerous countries.

David Stephens, Director, Debt Finance Origination, Corporate & Structured Banking, HSBC Bank plc

David has worked for the HSBC Group for over 20 years. In his current role, David is one of four Directors that form HSBC's Debt Finance Origination team. The team's focus is to work on multi-bank debt finance transactions with responsibilities ranging from client pitches, pricing, term sheet preparation/negotiation and facility agreement execution. This also includes working closely with other lending banks and debt finance advisors to coordinate syndicated and club transactions.
