London Stock Exchange welcomes FPC appointments
The London Stock Exchange today warmly welcomed the Government's appointment of four senior members to the Financial Policy Committee.
Xavier Rolet, CEO said "The appointment of Michael Cohrs, Donald Kohn, Alastair Clark and Sir Richard Lambert will bring a wealth of expertise and experience to the FPC. Together with their seven co-members from the Bank of England, these individuals will play a critical part in the future regulation of our financial industry and the London Stock Exchange Group warmly welcomes their swift and decisive appointment.
"Strong and expert regulation has always been a cornerstone of the UK financial markets, helping to attract international businesses and the very best talent from around the world. Today's high quality appointments to the FPC, coming soon after the successful appointment of Martin Wheatley to the CPMA, will only serve to reinforce London's ongoing reputation for regulatory excellence."
