London Stock Exchange Group strengthens senior team with dedicated CIO appointment

London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSEG) announced the appointment today of Antoine Shagoury to the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO), reporting directly to Xavier Rolet the Group’s CEO.

Antoine, who joins the LSEG’s Executive Committee, will be responsible for technology throughout the Group’s markets including group-wide IT organisation. Antoine will work in conjunction with Tony Weeresinghe, CEO of MillenniumIT, as well as all other providers of technology services to continue to deliver technology transformation across the Group.

Commenting on the appointment, Xavier Rolet said:

“We’re delighted to be welcoming Antoine to the Group.  His considerable industry experience will be an asset to the Executive Committee and the LSEG.  In addition, the increased bandwidth across the top team will allow the Group to take advantage of new opportunities and deliver on its growth strategy.”

Following the appointment of Antoine, the Executive Committee also comprises the three executive directors on the LSEG Board, namely Xavier Rolet, Massimo Capuano and Doug Webb, plus:

-        David Lester, Director of Information Services – responsible for the Group’s Information Services division and running the Turquoise-Baikal integration process;
