London Stock Exchange refreshes website
London Stock Exchange announced today that its new website has gone live. Built using the latest web technology, the re-launched www.londonstockexchange.com offers the site’s 1 million users a new look and feel, faster, more user friendly navigation and an improved search engine.
www.londonstockexchange.com is already a popular resource for the private investor community and, according to Hitwise, is consistently among the top 15 most visited financial services websites in the UK.
The site’s tools for private investors include:
Ø Instant announcement alerts on quoted companies
Ø Broker directory
Ø Access to all regulatory announcements made to the Exchange
Ø A portfolio management system
Luca Baselice, Group Corporate Websites Manager for London Stock Exchange Group, said:
“We have worked closely with our users in designing the new website, which as well as being faster and more reliable, is arranged around our core customer groups rather than products and services, making it more user friendly”.
Following customer research the site’s old content has been thoroughly reviewed and updated to help users access market information quickly and easily. As part of the site’s re-launch, all the information relating to a particular company or financial instrument has been grouped together in one place, giving investors a comprehensive overview of a security without having to undertake complex searches and risk missing relevant information.
The launch of the website represents the latest development in the merger between the London Stock Exchange and Borsa Italiana, with both websites now operating on a single, integrated platform, with consistent branding, format and navigation now in place on each of London Stock Exchange Group’s sites.
