STOCK EXCHANGE BOARD ANNOUNCEMENT

Mr Jonathan Howell, head of Market Regulation and a member of the Management Committee of the London Stock Exchange, was today appointed to the Exchange's Board.

Jonathan Howell, 36, is a chartered accountant and joined the Exchange in 1996 from PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was a Director of Forensic Services.
