LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE BOARD CHANGE

Sir John Kemp-Welch today announced his intention to retire in the next year from the board of the London Stock Exchange. He became a Director in 1991 and Chairman in 1994. A committee of the board will be established, to be chaired by John Kemp-Welch, to recommend the appointment of a successor.
